I don't think the information is poorly presented. There's no question the
Manning book is very very good. But for content ie. volume this one's pretty
good. Particularly their JDBC with JSP coverage and the WAP tutorial looks
like it's pretty interesting.
There's not doubt that it isn't as organised as well as the Manning book and
I do think the taglibrary chapters are as good but I've seen many worse.
What do you think is missing from the WROX title that's covered in Fields?

Subject: Re: Professional Java Server Programming by Wrox?
I bought this book because it covers so many topics in a single tome.
Indeed, there is a lot of good information in there, but, in my opinion,
it's poorly presented, and hard to read and make sense of. (There's just no
comparison to the Fields & Kolb book on JSP, which is in a whole different
class - one of the best-written technical books I have seen in years.)
Also, covering so many topics means that there's a lot missing, and so many
authors means that the book seems a bit disjointed at times.
Martin.
