JSP is not for beginners. People really need to know Java first. If
people don't know C++ especially, they must learn Java syntax,
OO Programming, JavaBeans to do JSP. If you lead people to
believe they can do JSP without knowing Java, it can lead to
disappointment. THis is especially true when dealing with
managers. If you lead a manager to believe their programmers can
do JSP without knowing Java, you set the programmers up for
difficulties. If they can't do it, they can either say:
"I couldn't do it."
or
"This stuff isn't good"
Guess which one they'll pick.
This is why expert systems didn't do well in the late 80s. Those
making the tools led people to believe they could use the tools
without knowing anything about Artificial Intelligence or the
underlying technology.
