We are using UtraDev with an Oracle database, IIS and JRun 3.0 - it all
works fine. The product is good for the web-page stuff and does work with
the database queries. They promise a shopping cart application on the
Macromedia Exchange site at some point - which may answer some of my
criticisms.

However, the code it is producing for us is all in JSP pages - no servlets
or beans.
If you have two queries it logs on and off the database twice- we have not
tried to get it working with servlets and beans - as the documentation does
not mention them - which is not to say that it cannot be extended - in the
future I am sure it will be.

We are going to use Model 2 and so will take the web pages and then hand
code servlet, database pooling, session management and bean stuff.

A good product then and if a simple application (ie simple JSP pages only)
will work fine. So in fact we probably could have got away with the
Dreamweaver bit only.

John
