I just switched to iplanet web server and find that I need
to delete the files in the "CLassCache" directory and restart
the server after making a change to a jsp page. That is the
only way I've found that will force iplanet to recompile the
jsp's.
I did not find a setting that would make it check the timestamp
of the jsp file, and the only pertinent blurb I found in the
documentation is the following:
http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/41/servlets/1-intro.htm#531877
Does anyone know how to make the iPlanet web server check jsp
timestamps to decide whether to recompile the page and
reload the new generated class? It would be a timesaver if I
could do that...
Thanks,
Phil
