hi guys
This may be outta context here, but since i am here I
thought I would just ask.
NO YOU NEED NOT
YOU ARE IN YOUR SOCIETY ALSO DO U ASK SUCH QUESTIONS
THIS IS A FORUM TO ASK JSP QUESTIONS NOT DESIGN PROBLEMS OF YOUR COMPANY
v r in the process of
setting up a intranet server for our company. we have
decided to host the site on a Unix box, but I am not
sure what kinda software infrastructure we would
require. Following are some of the concerns
1) what are the web servers supported on Unix.
almost all (except IIS)
but best i guess is apache with tomcat (if you are not runnign EJBs)
3) What development tools I can use to develop the
site.
i think vim editor is best on unix for developing anything
unless and until you are hell bent on emacs.
actually tell what all you want on that
because i guess if you go for Linux
then alomost everything you can get for free
list down your requirment and i can tell you appropiate freeware avaliable
i hope this helps
ralhan
