Mike:
I believe you should get a couple of books on JSP/servlet technology.
My own recommendataions are:
- Professional JSP from Wrox (several authors).
An absolute must. Get this one if you can only get one book. I
believe that Geert Van Damme who participates in this list is one of the
authors. Good job, guys!!!
- Java Servlet Programming by Jason Hunter from O'Reilly (Beware that
Jason does not like JSPs...)
Hands down, one of the top reference books on the subject.
- Javascript by David Flanagan from O'Reilly.
One again a foundation book if you are planning to do any kind of
client side scripting.
Good luck.
A final comment to all regarding the ongoing thread about not providing
sources for software and books. Maybe if we all did provide URLs and
author/publisher info, there would be no need for any acerbic replies in
this already overloaded list. I know that some people do not seem to be
doing their homework but, hey, it is easy to feel panicked when you are a
newbie (like me, BTW)...
Thanks to all.
Patrice.
