Look Nag,
 if your internet(main) server need not examine the
data received in it's request object then directly
open input stream to request object and open output
stream to local(intranet) server's URL then it is
exactly equivalent to redirecting/forwarding  this
request object to local server!!!!
If UR main server also wants to examine this request
object's data then do one thing. Create one object
like byte array (or any other suitable ) to represent
the data and write that object to Url's ObjectOutput
stream and read back the same object using
ObjectInputStream.
I hope these ideas solve your problem.
