I would speculate that people get upset because weblogic is a
commercial app server, and probably one of the most expensive, if not
*the* most expensive, app server on the market.
My IT organization doesn't use weblogic, but I regularly talk to over
fifteen developers in a number of different companies who do. One of
the things you're paying for when you buy weblogic is BEA's
(reportedly) excellent customer support. Asking questions on this list
about weblogic is akin to asking your amateur mechanic neighbor to
diagnose problems with your Jaguar, which is still under factory
warranty.
