I'm new to this list and don't know how to check the archives. Yes he should do
his homework, but you have forgotten that you were a beginner at one time and
someone wasted time and attention on you. Why not recommend a useful textbook
or an online reference site. There are a thousand ways to call someone an SOB.
I suggest you spend some time in "Charm School".

This is a mailing list about JSP (JavaServer Pages). If you have questions
about JSP, those are welcome here, but you are expected to do your
"homework" before you post questions. That includes checking the archives.
If you have questions about off-topic subjects (e.g. asking about
JavaScript), you had better have a very good reason for sending your
question to this list. If you do not, you should expect to be ignored,
insulted, or removed from the list. That's just the way it is. And should
be.

In short: THINK. You should be able to answer most of your own questions
without wasting the time of thousands of other programmers around the world.
That's what the net is for.
