Hi Daniel: Are trying installing Apache on NT or UNIX. If your using NT, then you need
to do the following
1) Install Apache first. I used 1.3.14
2) start Apache Server, make sure that its working
3) Install JSDK 2.0 instead of JSDK 2.1. If you want to use JSDK 2.1 then install JSDK
2.0 find the jsdk.jar file, save it and then insert into the /lib directory of the
JSDK 2.1 install. Then deinstall the JSDK 2.0. To avoid this, use JSDK 2.0, the
jsdk.jar file is there.
4) Install JServ1.1.1 and select the /lib directory in JSDK.
5) Select NO when asked if you want Jserv to modify your httpd.conf file in Apache. If
you select Yes then Apache will not run.
I hope this works. If you are able to get Tomcat working could you please give the
details on how you did this. I am fighting at the moment trying to the Tomcat server
started.
I'm using Windows NT 2000
Apache 1.3.14
JSDK 2.0
JDeveloper 3.1.2
JServ 1.1.1
Tomcat
Thanks in advance
JR.

OK, so I'm putting Tomcat and apache on our server and I'm running into
some problems...
We had apache on and we downloaded and installed tomcat so we can run
jsp stuff.
The tomcat manual said we needed to download Apache JServ so that we
could get the apache module (the .dll file)
OK, so for the next step I download the apache Jserv and try to install
it... it asks where the virtual machine is, no problem, then it asks for
jsdk.jar -- problem... I read up on the sun page that apparently no such
file exists anymore in JSDK and that anything using it should be refered
to the servlet.jar. Unfortunately, the install program won't proceed
unless it finds jsdk.jar
Anyone out there have any ideas?
-Daniel
