We develop and unit test on NT workstations (WebSphere Test Environment that comes with IBM VisualAge for Java), deploy to an NT integrated test server (WebSphere), and deploy to AIX or Solaris for production (WebSphere). I think it works out well and we've never had a situation where we've had to change code or had anything incompatible from one environment to the other. After so many broken promises in this industry (after all these years & major upgrades, still can't really multi-task under Windows if you're printing or downloading, still can't install ANYTHING without reboot(s), still CAN crash the OS, etc) its so nice that this is a no-brainer and we never even have to think about it.
