I am new to JSP and TOMCAT.
I have TOMCAT and able to run the example JSP from example: guessnum.jsp.
From what I understand, if I want to add a new JSP file, the only thing
I have to do is to create a new folder contains the new.sjp file at
tomcat\webapps\examples\jsp\new\new.jsp and us the same way to run the
guessnum.jsp to run the new.jsp. It does not work.:(
In fact, after I modified the guessnum.jsp (added one extra word in the
html part: "Welcome to..." --> "Welcome to to..."), the guessnum.jsp does
not run anymore. (I can still run the other examples). I did shutdown and
restart the TOMCAT after the modification.
My questions are:
1) How to modify the example guessnum.jsp file please?
2) Do I need to compile the guessnum.jsp file after modification? if
yes, how to do it please?
3) How to create a new jsp file and where should I put it please?
