Except that this is not legal in a JSP page. See the JSP 1.1 spec
<http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/download.html>, Section 2.5.4 (p. 41), end of the
first bullet point:
"JSP page authors are prohibited from writing directly to
either the PrintWriter or OutputStream associated with
the ServletResponse".
If you want to create binary output, you should be using a servlet.
