well i'm new to jsp. i'll still try. if you have the menus like jguru, where you can 
close a content window. wherein you just store the values of the respective (content) 
files which are included in the your main jsp file.

For eg:
There are two tables in the html for music and movies. what you can do is check the 
cookie for music and movies, some boolean and show him the pages accordingly. It 
should be very fast also.

You can refer servlet programming by jason hunter for cookie handling.
