I have the same question:
I have Solaris 2.6,(sparc Ultra2 2x296Mhz) running Apache 1.3.12

Just loaded mod_jserv.so,
for the last coupe of hours could not move further
than Hello.class :-(
Any suggestions? Is it stable?
