For the beggining you need:

1) Some people with WML/WMLS knowledge.

2) A WAP Browser and a WAP Development Kit (from Nokia or Phone, I think
Microsoft has released or is about to release a WAP Browser as well). The
WAP Development Kit is used to write your WAP applications and the WAP
browser to test them and see how they work.

3) A WAP Gateway (translates requests between the client - i.e. a mobile
phone - and the network - i.e. the server). Note that some WAP Toolkits come
with their own WAP Gateways (like Nokia 7210 I think), but the disadvantage
of this is that your application might not be working with other companies'
WAP Browsers.

Now, can you use Servlets with WAP Browsers? I did not know that you could
do it. How will the java code be interpreted? What exactly are you trying to
do? Do you just want to send WML code to a WAP Browser or something else?
Could you please be more specific.

  Hope this helps.
