Hi, I hope someone can help us with this problem.
We are running JavaWebServer 2.0 (don't laugh, but we're
stuck with it for a while). We have several servlets
that either forward or include JSP pages, using
the RequestDispatcher. It's been working fine, but
there's one problem:
When the server restarts, the servlets no longer
forward or include correctly. We think this is
because the compiled JSP pages are deleted when
the server is restarted. Why? Because if we
load the included JSP pages directly, the servlets
then work correctly.
In other words, the compiled JSP pages are gone,
and the servlets try to include them but can't.
Is there a way to force the JSP pages to be
recompiled, either automatically when the server
starts, or on a case-by-case basis when the
servlet invokes them?
Or is our error actually something much more sinister?
Please help!
