Hello all, I am about to write a JSP/Servlet app (Tomcat w/ IIS on W2K). This app will have some batch processes that will extract data from an ODBC data source, perform some lengthy manipulation on that data, and then store it to an ODBC data store (may be the same source or another). What are your thoughts on the best way to go about this? I would like to be able to "trigger" the process if necessary from a web page, but if I try to perform the calculations within the scope of that page it will likely time out. Perhaps I can schedule this process somehow to run once a night? Any comments/help will be appreciated.
