(Change the subject header if your talkign about something else People!) I think its very hard for a newbie coming into JSP since there is so little information out there when comparing it to ASP. That is why you get so many newbie type questions on this list. In ASP, there are so many sites and tutorials written by the ASP community that its come to a point where you can find pretty much anything you want in terms of code in examples (generally speaking). I hope that JSP/servlets really picks up in terms of market share, OOP with a real language (unlike VBscript) makes work that much more interesting. I don't feel proud of that fact that i'm coding in vbscript, I just feel like my programming skills are getting lower and lower :P Anyhow, seeing as this email flaming sort of began from one of my posts, lets get it together and learn some JSP. And for the people on this list who have some decent experience, I think you should consider that fact that the JSP community is much much smaller than ASP and newbie's will always wonder in and ask a question that has been answered before but lets get over it. If however more email lists pop about, then we can have specialized lists for each skill level. -----Original Message----- From: Antillon Reyes Rafael Martin - EXT [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2001 1:53 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: connecting to mssql Hello Everyone.
