You can look at the HTTP headers in jsp.

If the client is behind a firewall, you will not get the correct IP, but it
would be the ip of the firewall.

The SnoopServlet code prints out the IP using
out.println("Remote Addr: " + request.getRemoteAddr());
Check it out.
