yes ... ur bean can be in a jar. U would require a MFT (manifest template)
that would have to have an entry
Java-Bean: True
make sure the jar is a part of the classpath and then simply use it as :
<%@page import="mybeans.TheJarBean" %>
and then use it like a normal bean -
<jsp:useBean id=mybean class="TheJarBean.class" />
and so on ..
