On Apache ( Linux ) you can set up what module will handle the *.asp files
and what Module will serve the *.jsp.
After Apache figures out that index.jsp must be forwarded to the JSP
engine, if just forwards the request to that engine.
Same for ASP.

Maybe there is a way to do the same on IIS.

Drew,

better to use a real JSP application server not IIS.  You will see greater
performance.  Microsoft's patchwok job really bites.  Try orion for
functionality or iplanet for ease of use.
