Hey Lorena,
How a page is translated into a servlet is specific to the Application
Server that's doing the translation. The musts for the translation process
are specified in one of the specifications (J2EE, or JSP.. I'm not sure
which), but the details are left up to the server. What I usually do is try
to find the directory where the .java files are created, and see what they
did to translate them. Where they are also depends on the server, but I use
Tomcat 3.2, and they're under the "work" directory. Looking at these files
gives you a good idea of what a server does to your JSP files to
"servlet-ize" them.
