use java bean to set and get the values of the fields...
suppose if u have a field called myname...use like this

<input type=text name=myname value=<jsp:getProperty name='beanId'
property='myname'>>
but before this u have to set the properties of bean using

<jsp:setProperty name='beanId' property='*'>
