KL:
If you want to now if an parameter is or not use the
following:
 request.getParameter("...") != null

If you want to read the value of it:
 request.getParameter("...")

You can get a parameter enumarator of the available
ones:
 request.getParameterNames()

If the parameter is only one and have multiple values:
 request.getParameterValues(String)
