I would recommend Widows Commander, www.ghisler.com
You can search for files (by name, content etc) inside all types of
archives, including Zip and Jar. When you find them you can view them
directly with an internal viewer.
Plus it has many, many other nice features. Norton Commander style file
manager, ftp- client, archiving (zip, arj, rar...).
You almost want it in your Start-Up folder...
