If you want to use tomcat or jrun I can help. I can even share codes that handle the entire registration of a customer. I use Oracle to store the information. The registration of a new customer is a 4 steps process and it includes: get personal info get credit card info get preferred shipping method get preferred shipping address BTW, my codes also allow the user provide more than one shipping address Let me know if you ( or anyone in the list) are interested. I make use of session to store info of a customer while steping through the pages Siomara -----Original Message----- From: Mattias Jiderhamn [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, July 04, 2001 12:19 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Opensource app server with Servlet/JSP support > I am trying to teach myself how to use Servlets/JSPs and simultaneously > get a working shopping cart/order form + registration system up for a > friend. If you just want JSP and Servlet (no EJBs which require an appserver) and you want to get started fast, I would recommend LiteWebServer from Gefion Software, http://www.gefionsoftware.com/LiteWebServer/ It's a pure Java web server with build in support for JSP and Servlets. You're up and running within minutes. I'd recommend you start here and move along as you find out more what you need. (I hope you have noticed that you can run Tomcat in stand-alone mode, without the need for Apache.)
