Richard,
Are you looking for an ODBC driver or a JDBC driver? Access comes with it's
own ODBC driver, and should be "viewable" when you select the "drivers" tab
under Settings->ControlPanel->Administrative Tools->DataSources(ODBC). JDBC
is a different matter. I have never seen a JDBC driver for Access, as
Access is not really the type of database you would want to use with
JSP's/Java. Neither is SQLServer for that matter (in my opinion). But as
in the case of the current project I am working on, sometimes we don't have
a choice as to which database to use, especially if the client is already
"hooked" on SQLServer.
If you are trying to learn JSP's/Java on your own, consider downloading one
of the free database's available on the web that come with a JDBC driver.
I've see others post them on this list, but I cannot remember the names off
the top of my head or the URL's. If you are on an assignment, and the
client is using Access, see if you can convince them to port over to a
"real" database. Be it SQLServer, Personal Oracle, Sybase's SQLAnywhere,
etc. Oracle and Sysbase, by the way, come with their own JDBC driver.
SQLServer on the other hand does not, you will have to purchase a third
party JDBC driver to work with SQLServer.

Subject: JSP on Linux with MS Access Database
I need some help on finding an ODBC Driver so I can open an MS Access
Database on a LINUX 7.0 server (Using Tomcat for JSP).
Has anyone here done this before?
I'm totally burned out search websites, forums, archives... =(
thanks,
Rich
