There is an implicit "session" object of type
javax.servlet.http.HttpSession
You do no need to declare it for yourself.

Note that if you are creating a session for storing objects in session
scope, take a look at JavaBeans with session scope first.
(But maybe you are just looking for the session id or something else...)
