Fei Ling of JP Morgan - THANK YOU for the directions on PointBase. Sorry about the training remark. please read my recent posting at Jini - users with regard to disks. My intuition stated that it is not the database that does all the work but the disks. Even though I worked out alot still others did not get it. A very simple concept of Disk Crash when there is heavy activity. Fei Ling and I have the same mind set. JP Morgan is my client and I have to prove myself to my client that they can have confidence in me. It is some times magic although it shouldn't be if you know where the appropriate search box is. Then you can simply state it is telling me the truth or lying at the same time but it found it. MR. Keiple , I made it work and you couldn't. It was when Mr. kiepel wrote it doesn't work does it and I had done it 8 months earlier. It is a registered Bug as well which is the responsibilty of the Integrator and the project Manager to take appropriate action when he is notified with regard to the Microsoft IDE and then Oracle refusing support. I notified him he didn't act. If it is not easy for me it is not easy for any one hence I recommended a complete SUN solution. I am owed a Bonus in light of they couldn't make it work and I could. Does anyone care to comment on David Callaway's advice on init methods() light of Justy's comments( below). This was the book I was going to use for templating because it dissected every line of code. He is an experienced Java Consultant and I am a beginner but the approach I take is I only want to do once then forget about it. The only time I had done C++ was in College for one module and I was amazed to find that Java jobs where going to C++ programmers. I couldn't understand, does any one care to comment on that too ? Best Regards, Zahid Justy wrote :- I think what you are really after is the servlet and jsp specification. Any company that wants to implement a servlet and jsp container has to make sure that they are compliant with the specifications. This way any servlet or jsp can run on any container implementation. You can find the specifications here: http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/download.html http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/download.html Justy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Zahid Rahman" To: "'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, September 25, 2001 1:56 AM Subject: JVM specification >Princess Justy, > >I know that the various JVMs are implemented >in different ways.
