I'd swap Access for mySQL, if your up to speed with SQL'92, you can use mySQL-GUI or mySQL-Front as a visual tool to config your mySQL DB

Subject: anything to flag before starting out in JSP?

I am starting out with JSP (and this email list) and I am hoping that if someone had hardships with the following:

1. Win98
2. MS Access2000 database
3. 200MHZ MMX pentium pro processor
4. keeping everything java on its own HD partition

they could let me know before I get ahead of myself.  Hindsight is 20/20, so if anyone can share on some problems that can be avoided, that would be great.

I installed Tomcat 3.3 and received a multi-hop cycle error on IE5.5, however it worked fine on NS4.75 when trying to view the welcome html page.  Any ideas why IE doesn't like Tomcat?
