Why dont use :

pstmt = conn.prepareStatement("select name,subj_id,reply,subject, "+
"timefrom post where subject like '%?%'");


pstmt.setString(1, search);

rs = pstmt.executeQuery();

while(rs.next())
{
}

Is there a reason?

should do the trick ... ???
