This is only my opinion..

In ActionScript there is a _loadvariables keyword and statement, in essence
that is what you use, but you can get away without using JSP.

Unless you know Flash and ActionScript really well you will have troubles.

I have seen Flash being used with ASP, Coldfusion and even CGI/Perl

Example syntax

loadVariables("useful.pl",data_mc_instance,"POST");

Your best bet will be FlashKit the best resource for anything Flash

One of the first things I want to do is to pass varibles into a flash
program, in particular the link which should be used when a button is
pushed.  I think I know how to do this, but I am wanting to hear how
