It depends on how you are navigating from elmpleelist.jsp to EmployeeListView.jsp. If you are using response.sendRedirect then you must store it in the session. If you are using request.getRequestDispatcher().forward() or <jsp:forward> then you should store it in the request (request.set/getAttribute).
