I think that it could be.
I can access the sun server via ssh on "www.inmuebleperu.net"
that has an address 64.55.190.68.

But .. then I made a telnet to our own server on 200.37.61.133
and made a "finger" command, so that I could see the remote address
as 64.55.190.5.

Accessing another server in Verio (also a Sun server) with address
161.58.154.72 and after the "finger" commmand I could see the
same address 161.58.154.72.

In the first case we have installed Tomcat 3.3 and in Verios VPS
Solaris Server we have a 3.2.1 version installed. So there are two (2)
differences, the Tomcat version installed and configured and that one
changes the address and the other not after the "finger" command
in a same remote unix server.

Both are VPS (Virtual Private Server) Solaris Servers.

Are you perhaps behind a proxy or firewall that might be spoofing the address?

Well then please try the following address :

http://www.inmuebleperu.net:8080/examples/jsp/snp/snoop.jsp

and

http://www.inmuebleperu.net:8080/examples/servlet/RequestInfoExample

to the Remote Address results.

There's no problem, you're calling from the same machine the server is running on.  If you call it from another machine, you should get the address of that machine.

I also have the same problem, using Tomcat 3.3 in a Sun configuration.

When calling the "/examples/jsp/snp/snoop.jsp" program in the
"examples/jsp" directory, the Remote Address is allways 127.0.0.1.

Using the " /examples/servlet/RequestInfoExample" also has the same
result "Remote Address: 127.0.0.1"

Is it a configuration problem ?
