Yep, I mean javax.servlet.http.HttpSession.invalidate().

I would like to redefine that method for my application, so that I can cause
another method to be executed immediately before the session is destroyed. I
looked at the session listeners, but all the ones I saw told me when the
session had already been destroyed - I need to get at it just before it's
destroyed.

Is this possible?

 Do you mean javax.servlet.http.HttpSession.invalidate()? If
so, what exactly do you mean by "overload"? I suspect you
can get what you want by using one of the various session
listeners, but it's hard to say without knowing more about
what you're trying to accomplish.
