 For versions of the JDK before 1.4, yes, it is an issue.
(JDK 1.4 has a special 'headless' switch). There are a couple
of different solutions. If you check the archives [1] using a
search term like "xvfb", you should hit some discussion
threads that will explain in detail. Note that xvfb is not
the only possible solution.

 On the other hand, that isn't the error message I'd expect
if that were your problem. Hard to tell.

at the bottom of this message. Since your question has
been asked and answered in detail several times in the
past, your best shot at a good solution is to check the
