Hi Othmar,
    I guess you are using the sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver(that is JDBC-ODBC
bridge). This being the case you must create a DSN for the mysql database.
Check for the DSN name in the list of ODBC data sources and if present,
whether it is
mentioned correctly in the JSP.
                If you are not using JDBC ODBC bridge, check if the driver
classes are in your classpath and the JDBC Url you have given in the JSP is
correct.
