It's not that hard to install and configure Tomcat on Linux; just
download the ZIP or tar.gz distribution from:

Unpack the file, and run bin/startup.sh. Configuration is a bit
involved, but the docs on the Tomcat site cover most of it.

An alternative that you may find easier is our LiteWebServer, which is
basically a slimmed down and tweaked version of Tomcat 4.1. It comes
with an InstallAnywhere installer, a web application for adding,
removing and upgrading feature modules, easier configuration using
simple Java properties files, plus fairly extensive documentation.
You can use it free of charge and optionally purchase various types
