Hi All I have a problem, i never have worked with Tomcat, but i think is similar to whatever Application Server, but my problem is how install it on Linux, and configure it, desides some examples to put any examples of jsp and servlets..
It's not that hard to install and configure Tomcat on Linux; just download the ZIP or tar.gz distribution from:
<http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-tomcat-4.0/release/v4.1.18/bin/> Unpack the file, and run bin/startup.sh. Configuration is a bit involved, but the docs on the Tomcat site cover most of it. An alternative that you may find easier is our LiteWebServer, which is basically a slimmed down and tweaked version of Tomcat 4.1. It comes with an InstallAnywhere installer, a web application for adding, removing and upgrading feature modules, easier configuration using simple Java properties files, plus fairly extensive documentation. You can use it free of charge and optionally purchase various types of support.
