Yes, the default value for the type attribute of the <%@ attribute %>
directive in tag files is java.lang.String since that's by far the most
common type of parameter passed to tag files.

Incidentally, the default value for the body-content attribute of the
<%@ tag %> directive is 'scriptless' so you didn't need to type that in
your tag file.  Saves a few keystrokes :)

That was it - I added the type="java.util.Collection" to my attribute
definition and bingo - I can access the objects...
