Have a holding page a.jsp with the following html markup and your drop-down(which could be generated from a jsp). A.jsp can have javascript to generate a different url to be called (for the iframe) for different drop-down items selected. Have another b.jsp which will replace b.html. Call that b.jsp from a.jsp using the url as above and b.jsp should have the ability to render the list screen given a parameter to be passed in the url (or otherwise in POST) from the a.jsp.
