Sectional Editing: does not work at all with IE6

While Sectional Editing (SE) works fine for FF3, it does not work at all on IE6
on JSPWiki-alpha-29
SE does work fine with IE6 on JSPWiki-2.7.0-alpha-22 (currently in Sandbox).
I have enabled SE in my Prefs and I checked it again after saving it. If you go
to a page with paragraphs/chapters, there are no [Edit] links beside each
chapter.
If you select Edit (at the top of the page), you also do not get a JS popup
where you can select the chapter.
I understand that IE6 support is under debate, but nevertheless something got
broken between alpha-22 and alpha-29
