No idea what is going on then. It's as if Weblogic randomly decrements first
byte of a valid UTF-8 character. If that is true, then Weblogic is badly
broken and needs to be fixed.
If you need just German, you should probably switch JSPWiki to Latin1 (with
jspwiki.encoding=ISO-8859-1).
