Hi Iman! Welcome to JSPWIki :-) I think the most helpful thing right now would be to check out the trunk and ensure all the unit tests run and that it is even remotely reliable (i.e. just try it out until it fails :-). The next most important task would be to complete the Exporter tool from 2.8.x so that one can actually change the pre-3.0 dataformat to 3.0 dataformats. Can you take a whack at that, Iman?
