Background:

I like the 'comment' feature of JSPWiki in that it allows people to add comments, but if the page is large, it is difficult to properly reference
the part of the page in your comment.

The footnoting feature of JSPWiki could come to the rescue here, but
requires the user to edit the page to insert the footnote, and then has to
update two parts of the page.

Is there some way that a user could highlight part of the page and that highlight location could be communicated back to the server when the 'Add Comment' command is issued? This would give the server enough information where to put the footnote reference, and still add the comment text to the
end.

Is this possible?
