The idea of using e.g a private developer branch was because I get short periods at home and at work where I can do updates so that would help me avoid copying stuff around and risking getting out of sync. Just checkout JSynthLib (the trunk), develop your driver locally and if it's finished and ready to be tested by others add it to the repository.
