Not quite .. SVN is centralized, while Git is distributed.  It's a notably
different way of working.  It's not *hard* by any stretch, but you need to
wrap your head around that fundamental difference.  Definitely read some
tutorials.  And if you use Eclipse, EGit works very nicely.
