I think in the previous mail I dint explain well.

What I mean is that probably the actual implementation gets its goal
(force a segment and a given coordinate to touch themselves by snapping).

But I also think that the snap and crack mechanism would be more "sophisticated". When it cracks a segment, insert the new point in the nearest point of the segment, and after that. When it snaps points, use weights (to determine which geometry move and which not) and compute weighted averages.....

The fact is that probably my suggestion wont work for the context of overlay operations, it will work for segment cracking (my real requeriment).

Even thought, I think that the snap process would must be moved to GeometryGraph level....
