Hi -,

I've been looking at the results of the buffer operations for different
inputs and parameters. I recognized that the end-cap is applied to the
"endpoints" of linear rings. Is this intended? I would rather expect
the buffer to apply a join at the common first/last point.

Example input:

LINEARRING (272 112, 159 166, 230 264, 354 261, 376 156, 272 112)

Output with flat cap and bevel join: see attachment

(using JTS 1.13)

Best
Sebastian
