Hmmm, this is (as usual with these crazy legal things) a tricky issue.
According to [1] BSD3 is compatible with GPL3, but EPL is not. But I don't
whether this ultimately leaves JTS compatible or not. I will inquire and
report back (the benefit of having the LocationTecH legal team on call!)
